The 5th (first in funding phase 2) International One Health GLACIER Annual Symposium will take place at the Leibniz Institute of Plant Biochemistry (IPB) in Halle (Saale), Germany, connecting researchers from Latin America and Germany. Experts in epidemiology, medicine, biology, chemistry, pharmacy, social and computer sciences will present their research on infectious diseases, emerging epidemics, and strategies to combat them across five different thematic areas. The range of topics encompasses not only the development of new drugs and vaccines, and novel research-supporting software solutions but also the social impacts of epidemics on society. The GLACIER Symposium is being organized under the leadership of Prof. Ludger Wessjohann from the Leibniz Institute of Plant Biochemistry (IPB) and Prof. Barbara Seliger from the Institute of Medical Immunology at MLU.
